Goa - Wood Watch

Beautifully handcrafted watch and an absolute hit with my fiancée !

Bought the Goa watch for myself. Looks and feels like a watch at least 4 times the price. Will be buying more as gifts.

Watch is perfect, it feels solid and well made. The engraving adds a personal touch which makes it one of a kind, absolutely delighted with it. Thank you.

I purchased a Goa watch about 18 months ago, to check I liked the style and appearance of a wooden watch. Although larger than previous watches I've owned, the feel, weight, and look of the watch on my wrist was very much to my liking. It felt like rolling back the years to when a watch was worn just for time telling reasons, a welcome break from some wrist devices these days.
Unfortunately, I found that on months shorter than 31 days, you'd have to manually adjust the date, which was only a minor inconvenience, but still made me aware that for even £60-£70, this is still a budget watch.
Worse still, after a year of daily wear, the watch stopped working correctly. It would no longer muster up the strength around midnight to continue to "tick tock", and would just stop. Presumably to do with the additional effort required to move the month and day hands to their next port of call. Again, annoying, but can be manually readjusted upon awakening, and it would resume again until that next night.
Until the second hand fell off.
Which then blocks the minute hand from turning.
Unfortunately I've received no reply to my email regarding any future help, or how to fix the watch (I am aware it is past the year's guarantee/warranty period).
I managed to remove the second hand by careful disassembly, but it still stops at midnight, and as of today, has stopped during the day four times as well.

Please be aware that the internal contents of the watch are lower quality than the watch's aesthetic appear to be.

I'd love to give a higher rating, but the watch doesn't work after 18 months.

I’m so happy with the watch I’ve ordered. The watch itself looks incredible, the quality feels great. The packaging is beautiful. I’m so pleased I came to the wood look. The watch is a gift for my husband for our anniversary, I haven’t yet removed the protective film, the photo of the watch face looks like there’s a mark, but that is the protective film. The watch is flawless, I can’t wait to give him it!
